Washington girls win home meet
Fairfield finishes second, Mt. Pleasant follows

WASHINGTON — Southeast Conference girls golf competed in Washington on Monday afternoon.
Washington, Fairfield, Mt. Pleasant, Keokuk, Burlington and Fort Madison all took part in the meet.
The Demons were the winning team, shooting a 173 for the top position. Fairfield followed with a score of 207. Mt. Pleasant didn’t post a team score, along with Burlington.
Keokuk finished third at 212, Fort Madison took fourth with 303.
In the individual department, Washington’s Makenna Conrad came up one shot short of being the medalist with a 41.
Burlington’s Lauren Briggs took the top spot with a 40 in the meet.
Kaylin Long followed Conrad with a third-place finish after shooting a 42. Mallary Johnson finished with 44, Adalyn Long ended with 46, Maci Williams had 48 and Haley Mitchell shot a 53.
Leading Fairfield in the SEC meet was Viola Welsh with a 46.
Macy Rayburn followed with a 52, Maggie Rayburn carded a 54, Kate Pettit shot a 55, Myah Twohill ended with 57 and Sara Kretz ended with 62.
For Mt. Pleasant, Kylie Walderbach shot a team-best 56. Elaina Holtkamp finished the meet with a 70 and Ashlynn Beauchamp tallied a 77.
Washington, Mt. Pleasant and Fairfield will be back in action on Thursday, this time playing in Fairfield.
