Washington golf places second in own ‘Washington Invitational’
New London competes as well, takes 11th

RIVERSIDE — Washington boys golf held its Washington Invitational on Monday at Blue Top Ridge Golf Course in Riverside.
The Demons have been one of the top teams in the area all season long and proved it once again in their own tournament.
With an 11 team field, Washington missed out on the team title by eight strokes.
The Demons were the tournament runners-up with a score of 315. Waverly-Shell Rock took the title with a low of 307.
New London was the only other Union area team to take part.
The Tigers finished the day with an 11th overall finish, carding 434 points.
Leading the individual standings was the Demons own Rajan Roth, tallying a 71 for the crown.
Drew Conrad followed with a 75. Teague Mayer shot a 82. Luke Beenblossom finished with an 87. Carson Brown ended with an 88 and Cole Vetter a 104.
For New London, Coen Fitzpatrick led with a 89. Sullivan Barron shot a 102. Michael Raines totaled a 110. Archer Bonnesen had a 133. Isael Lemley finished with a 142 and Adam Allen a 145.
