Washington golf takes team title in Mt. Pleasant
Demon girls take medalist honors, followed by Fairfield and Mt. Pleasant

MT. PLEASANT — Southeast Conference girls golf was back at it on Monday, this time playing at Mt. Pleasant’s Golf and Country Club.
Washington picked up another team victory, finishing with 175 points. Fairfield finished in third with 202 points. Mt. Pleasant followed in fourth with 223 total points.
Leading the way for Washington with medalist honors was Makenna Conrad. Conrad shot a meet low of 41 for the top spot.
Teammate Kaylin Long finished one stroke behind with a 42. That was good enough for runner-up after a cardback.
Adalyn Long finished with a 45. Mallary Johnson had 47. Haley Mitchell tallied a 48 and Maci Williams shot a 48.
Fairfield was led by Viola Welsh in the meet. Welsh shot a 45.
Myah Twohill and Macy Rayburn followed behind with 52’s. Sara Kretz shot a 53. Maggie Rayburn ended with 56 and Kate Pettit a 57.
For Mt. Pleasant, Kylie Walderbach led with a 51.
Elaina Holtkamp followed with a 56. Ashlynn Beauchamp carded a 57 and Felicity Metcalf shot a 59.
Washington and Mt. Pleasant will next take part in the Oskaloosa Invitational on Thursday. Fairfield will head to Kalona for the Hawk Invitational.
