Washington golf wins in Keokuk
Demon’s Rajan Roth and Mt. Pleasant’s Nick Matheney lead area golfers

KEOKUK — The Washington boys golf team continues to perform well in the early Southeast Conference season as they picked up yet another team win, along with medalist honors.
Washington finished with the top team score, shooting a low of 156.
Both Fairfield and Mt. Pleasant continue to stay right on their heels as Fairfield finished second with 161 points and Mt. Pleasant third with 171.
For Washington, Rajan Roth was the highest finisher. Roth shot a 36 for the meet low.
Mt. Pleasant’s Nick Matheney tied with Roth, shooting a 36 of his own.
Roman Roth finished with a 38 for the Demons. Drew Conrad finished with a 40. Isaac Vetter shot a 42. Teague Mayer ended with a 43 and Luke Beenblossom carded a 44.
Max Weaton was the highest finisher for the Trojans. Weaton shot a 38 in the meet. Dave Eisner and Sam Weaton both shot a 40. Nile Christensen ended with a 43. Austin Lisk posted a 44 and Landon Nodurft shot a 47.
Along with Matheney’s top score, Nate Dismang finished with a 41. Reece Coffman shot a 44. Ben Meador had a 50. Izaac Zihlman had 56 and Jason Rich ended with a 57.
The three area teams will be back on the course on Thursday at Mt. Pleasant.
