Washington grad’s son to Babe Ruth World Series

The son of a former Washington resident will be playing on the big stage in Branson, Missouri, next month, as his All Star team in California has qualified for the 2024 Babe Ruth World Series.
Brenden Jarrard and the Torrance Babe Ruth Baseball All Star 13-16 year olds were recently crowned champions of the Pacific Southwest Regionals in Tulare, California. The team will participate in the Babe Ruth World Series in Branson, Missouri Aug. 8 to 18.
Brenden, a southpaw pitcher is the son of Ly & Brian Jarrard of Torrance, California and the nephew of Carol Enfield (Jarrard) of Crawfordsville.
The annual Babe Ruth World Series is a tournament that includes teams from all over the country, all fighting to be crowned the national champions. The championship game is set for August 17.
