However, the Huskies went on to score five runs between the fourth and fifth innings and the Tigers could never make it up.
As for Highland’s game against Assumption, the Huskies held onto a 1-0 lead after three frames.
The Knights answered back with a run in the top of the fourth to tie it. After two innings without runs, it was Assumption who scored the final run in the top of the seventh.

As for Washington, the Demons held a 1-0 lead after three frames against Davenport West.
It didn’t last long though, as the Falcons brought four runs home in the top of the fifth to take a 4-1 lead.
Washington scored two more in the bottom half of the frame to bring it within one. The Demons scored once more to tie it in the seventh, but two runs by the Falcons in the eighth were enough to win it.
Against West Liberty, the two teams went scoreless for four innings. The Comets broke the seal with four runs in the fifth and that’s all they would need.
Washington scored a run each in the fifth and sixth, but that’s all it could get.
