Demons heading to Keokuk for matchup with the Chiefs

KEOKUK — It’s been a tough couple of weeks for Washington football.
The Demons are on a two-game slide after falling to Grinnell, 35-18, last week.
On Friday, the Demons (1-3) will look to end the losing streak with a victory over Keokuk (2-2) on the Chiefs homecoming.
Keokuk’s coming into the Class 3A District 4 matchup off a 30-13 win over Fairfield.
History is on the Demons side when it comes to the contest.
Washington holds a 14-2 historical record against Keokuk. The Demons have won seven straight, with the latest being a 28-27 win last season.
Logan McDole leads Washington at quarterback. McDole has thrown for 459 yards and four touchdowns.
On the ground, Kael Williams has a team-high 261 yards and five touchdowns. McDole has a second-best 259 yards and three scores on the ground.
Mason Morgan has been one of McDole’s main targets this year. He has amassed 265 yards receiving on 13 catches for four touchdowns. Luke Beenblossom follows with nine total catches.
On the defensive end, Casen Evans leads the Demons with 34.5 tackles. Chase Greiner follows with 20.5 tackles and four tackles for a loss.
For Keokuk, Brenton Hoard leads through the air and on the ground.
Hoard has 725 yards passing with seven touchdowns. On the ground, he has 503 yards with two scores.
Drew Campbell has 204 yards receiving with three touchdowns and Diego Garcia comes in with 184 yards and four scores.
On the defensive side of the ball, Mason Claus has 34.5 tackles with two tackles for a loss. Malachai Douglas has 22 tackles.
Friday nights game will kickoff at 7:30 p.m.
