Nine Demons entered the scoring column Friday in Keokuk, but it wasn't enough to win the Southeast Conference high school girls basketball game.
Iowa Mennonite's Yani Gutierrez put up a double-double in a win.
Keokuk 63, Washington 39
Kara Ropp scored eight points while Haylee Wilson and Isabel Bailey notched six each for the Demons, who trailed 14-8 after one quarter and 29-13 at halftime.
Washington's record is 3-4 overall and 0-2 in the conference. The Demons play at Ft. Madison Tuesday.
Mikenna Davis scored 19 for Keokuk and Mackenzie Northup 15. Keokuk is 4-3, 3-0 SEC.
Iowa Mennonite School 61, Winfield-Mt. Union, 61-39.
Suzanna Yoder led IMS with 36 points, five assists, five steals and five rebounds in the road Southeast Iowa Super Conference North Division victory. Yani Gutierrez recorded a double-double with 16 points and 10 rebounds. She also dished out two assists. Mia Graber added six points and pulled down 10 rebounds.
IMS is 4-5, 2-4 and plays host to Columbus Tuesday. W-MU is 2-7, 1-5.
Holy Trinity 42, WACO 37
The Warriors lost the SEISC South Division game at home. WACO outscored the visitors 15-7 in the fourth quarter, but trailed 27-17 at the half.
Clara Schmitz led WACO with 14 points.
WACO plays at New London Tuesday. Holy Trinity is 5-3, 4-2.
No. 5 Lynville-Sully 54, Keota 24
The Class 1A ranked visitors (8-2) took a 19-2 lead by the end of the first quarter in this South Iowa Cedar League game at Keota.
No. 8 Cascade 50, No. 15 Mid-Prairie
The Class 3A Golden Hawks' first game after entering the rankings did not go well against the River Valley Conference Class 2A visitors, who took a 14-2 lead in the first quarter and 31-11 at the half.
Maddie Nonnenmann had 11 points and five rebounds while MP teammate Myah Lugar had 10 points.
Cascade is 6-1, 5-1. MP plays at Wilton Tuesday.
