Washington Middle school boys track in Don Taft Relays

The Washington middle school boys track teams traveled to Mt. Pleasant Friday, April 7, to take part in the Don Taft Relays.

The seventh-grade boys ended the day in third place while the eighth-grade team finished in sixth place.

First place finishes for the seventh-grade team were earned by Kole Williams in the discus, going 72 feet 8 inches.

Jacob Miller took first in both the 100-, 200- and 400-meter dashes.

His time in the 100 was 13.44, 27.70 in the 200 and he had a time of 1:03.25 in the 400.

The 4x200 team of Reece Mayer, Brian Martin, Quinn Alexander and Thomas Bias had the only first-place finish from the eighth-graders, with a time of 1:49.18.

The boys will take to the track Thursday, April 13, when they will travel to Ottumwa for an invitational starting at 4:30 p.m.
