Washington middle school girls track teams at Mt. Pleasant

The Washington seventh and eighth girls track teams traveled to Mt. Pleasant Tuesday, April 4, to take part in a track meet.

The seventh-grade girls finished in third place and the eighth-graders came in seventh place.

Having first place finishes from the seventh-grade team were Kelsey Pacha in the high jump, going 4 feet, 2 inches.

She also finished the 200-meter hurdles in first place with a time of 31.91.

Greta Rothe came in first in the 1500-meter run with a time of 6:16.72.

The 4x400-meter relay team of Elyse Hunt, Ava Turner, Rothe and Pacha took first with a time of 5:00.63.

The only first-place finish for the eighth-grade team was in the 4x800-meter relay where Alivia Emry, Trina Griffin, Sydney Cuddeback and Sarah Hall had a combined time of 12:33.23.

The two teams hold an invitational Monday, April 10, starting at 4:30 p.m.
