Washington Middle School wrestlers have 'tough night' at home
The Washington Middle School wrestling team won 25 matches but lost 27 when it hosted Fort Madison and Ottumwa for a meet on Jan. 15.
?We had a tough night,? Washington head coach Shawn Ellingson said. ?I really think we went backwards a little. I didn?t think the boys were very focused, and that can happen at home meets.?

Trey Van Weelden, Kyle Anderson, Seth Townsend, Gabe Greiner, Andrew Waite, Dakota Kron, Chris Dickle and Clayton Pacha each went 2-0 at the meet, while Karlton Skubal and Austin Hazelett both won their only match of the night. Van Weelden and Skubal remain undefeated on the season.
Tanner Murphy, Chandler Reid, Alex Latcham, Jacob Hall, Kiowa Keith, Bryce Craff and Wil Marek each went 1-1 on the night.
