FAIRFIELD — Washington golf continues its reign at the top of the Southeast Conference hilltop following the league opener on Monday night.
The Demons finished with the team title with a score of 153. That was 10 strokes ahead of runner-up Mt. Pleasant, who posted 163 points. Fairfield followed in third with 179 points. Fort Madison ended with 187 and Keokuk 213.
The Demons posted the top three individual scores with Drew Conrad taking the meet medalist honor after carding a 36. Rajan Roth followed in second with a 37. Carson Brown rounded out the top three with a 38.
Also for the Demons Cole Vetter posted a 42, Conner Leyden a 44, Ethan Peebler a 47, Kaleb Orr a 49 and Tate Greiner a 60.
Mt. Pleasant finished with a pair of top three finishers as well. Brody Engle’s 38 tied him for third, while Merrick Lamm ended with a 39 for fifth.
Logan Calhoun and Alek Barton both golfed 43s for the Panthers. Sam Frary finished with 44 and J.C. Sitar had a 46.
For Fairfield, Archer Kreuter led the way with a top 10 finish. Kreuter ended with a 41 for sixth. Andrew Myers followed with a 44. Voss Richardson posted a 45, Luke Thornton a 49, Xavier Kessel a 54 and Brice Boatright a 56.
