Demon girls place sixth, boys follow in eight at Regina Meet

IOWA CITY — Washington cross-country headed north on Thursday to compete in the Bob Brown Invitational, hosted by Regina Catholic.
The Washington girls wrapped the meet with an sixth-place finish, while the Demons boys finished at eight overall.
Iris Dahl led the Demon girls with a fifth-place finish. Dahl clocked a time 21:11.16 on the day. Quincy Griffis placed 17th in the competition with a 22:11.99. Alyvia Anderson ended in 38th. Abigail Kleese was 42nd, Lauren Horak 44th, Kendall Hinrichsen 45th and Isabella Lujan finished 51st.
For the boys, Micah Rees was a top three finisher. Rees ran a time of 17:00.99 for third overall. Andrew Rees finished 30th overall, Tyler Alderton was 32nd, Drew Horak ended 41st, Lane Schrock finished 46th, Elijah Morris 59th, Kael Malichky took 102nd.
