WASHINGTON — Another week is nearly complete which means the Washington senior men’s golf league completed another round of action at Washington Golf and Country Club.
The winners of the week this time around were the quartet of Randy Pierce, Pat Smith, Roger Harris and Ken Schroeder.
Pierce’s putter was on point as he led the group to a six under par 29.
Bill Gevock, Craig Paul and Dale Sayre also shot a 29 on the day, but fell in the card back for a second-place finish.
The featured team of the competition was Bob Shelman, Bruce Smith and Dave Sorrell. The trio shot two under, highlighted by Shelman’s tee shot finishing 3’ from the front left pin on hole two.
Sorrell then spun his wedge shot back into the middle of the green on the par four number three for an eagle.
Five shot prizes were awarded as well.
Mark Eighmy was a winner as he shot closest to the hole on one. On hole two, Shelman was the closest to the pin.
Longest put and closest to the pin was done by Craig Paul on hole three and hole five.
Winning the driving contest was Mike Hankins on hole six.
The Washington senior men's’ league will continue next week.
