Washington seventh-grade boys? basketball teams end seasons

The Demons seventh grade boys? basketball team ended their season Monday, Dec. 12, playing at Keokuk.

The A team ended with a 37-27 victory and an 8-4 record. The B team lost their game 15-20, ending their season with a 5-7 record, and the C team won 16-7 and had a 2-6 record.

Kasen Bailey led the scoring in the A game with 13 points and had two rebounds and three steals. Lucas Kroll had 10 points, four rebounds and one steal.

Ethan Zieglowski scored four points and had one rebound and two steals. Jacob Miller scored four points and had one steal.

Grant Sobaski scored three points and had two steals. John Prochaska had two points and three steals and Lance Sobaski had one point, five rebounds and two steals.

For the B team, Kole Williams had seven points and one rebound. Javaughn Stuart scored two points and had two rebounds.

Both Evan Miller and Zane Wefenstette scored two points and had one rebound, and scoring two points in the game was Zeke Slagel.

Jackson Hesseltine scored 12 points in the C game and had three steals. Lincoln Hansen had two points, one rebound and one steal and Nolan Watson scored two points.

Coach Mark Berhow says of the season, ?We are so proud of the improvement and effort these guys showed in practice and in games.

?They demonstrated high character and excellent sportsmanship as they competed.? He added that he is grateful to the parents for all their support throughout the season.
