The Washington seventh-grade girls? basketball team won the A game at Fairfield on Tuesday night, but the Demons lost the B and C games to the Trojans.
The Washington A team defeated Fairfield 26-17. Sarah Nacos scored 14 points and grabbed six rebounds to lead the Demons (3-2), and Morgan Brinning added six points, three rebounds and a steal. Brooke Stout had four points, three rebounds and three steals in the contest, and Megan Strabala chipped in two points and a theft. Allison Vogel had five rebounds and two steals, and Kristen Twinam had three boards and a theft. Megan Mitchell, Makenna Rich, Reagan Caffery and Jessica Hora each pulled down a rebound for the Demons.
The Demon B team lost to the Trojans 19-8. Twinam, Caffery, Michaela Hoffman and Kaylee Enfield each scored two points for Washington (0-4-1). Enfield also had two rebounds and a steal in the game, Caffery had a rebound, and Hoffman had a theft. Baylee Stalder pulled down a team-high seven rebounds and also had a steal, and Hora had two rebounds and a theft. Jackie Nunez had a rebound and a steal in the game, while Breanna Brinning, Emily Collier and Erin Milles each grabbed a rebound.
Washington lost the two-quarter C game 14-0. Nunez, Mills and Addison McGuire each grabbed a rebound for the Demons (0-3).
