Washington soccer goes scoreless against Burlington
Demons boys and girls fall against Grayhounds

Monday night was a rough one for both Washington boys and girls soccer. The two teams were both defeated by Burlington, the girls 6-0 and the boys 3-0.
In the girls’ contest, the Grayhounds scored four goals in the first half and the Demons never had an answer. Burlington added two more goals to the board in the second to seal it.
Washington ended with eight shot, three on target. Luna Cuevas led the way with four shots. Angeline Anderson had two shots. Nelly Cuevas and Isobel Murphy each had one shot.
Aleigha Medley tallied 10 saves in goal.
The Demons are now 5-4 on the season.
On the boys’ side, the Grayhounds scored just one goal in the first half. However, Washington never found a goal itself. Meanwhile, Burlington added a pair to its total through the final 40 minutes.
The Grayhounds sent 27 shots at the Demons, 11 of those were on target.
Washington drops to 1-9 with the loss.
