Washington suffers second straight loss

Washington Demon baseball suffered its second straight loss on Friday night with a 12-2 loss to Solon at home.
Prior, the Demons fell to Muscatine 8-1 on Wednesday.
The Spartans put 12 runs on the Demons in the non-conference bout. Meanwhile, Washington scored just two themselves.
Mitchell Zieglowsky, Boden Brown, Cole Vetter and Isaac Medrano each had one hit. Brown led the Demons with two RBIs in the loss.
With the loss, Washington drops to 1-2 on the early season. The Demons will look to get back on track with a Southeast Conference matchup against Burlington on Monday. The Greyhounds currently sit at 3-1 on the season.
