Washington takes 2nd at own track meet

WASHINGTON — Tipton’s girls won Thursday’s track and field meet at Case Field with Washington second and Mt. Pleasant fifth.
Rylee Libe, Kadence Howell, Lilly Harris and Ally Rees won the throwers relay for Washington. Molly Klinzman won the 100 meters in 13.49 seconds. Olivia Marek went 15 feet, 5 inches to win the long jump.
In 52.43, the 400 relay was won by Mt. Pleasant’s Bailey Jalas, Karsyn Lamm, Josie Gilmore and Kenna Lamm. Abby Blint was the fastest 3000 runner in 11:49.84. Grace Kelly won the discus at 117-11.
