TROY MILLS — Saturday’s cross-country races at the Lynx Invitational seem to have made an impression on the voters from the Iowa Track and Field and Cross-Country Coaches. The Oct. 12 Week 7 (of nine) rankings had Washington’s boys up a spot at No. 16 and the girls up two at No. 18.
Mid-Prairie’s teams remained at the top of Class 2A for the girls and fourth for the boys.
In 1A, Pekin’s girls stayed at No. 3 and Columbus moved up to its highest ranking this season at No. 14.
Danville-New London was in the same spot as every previous ranking in 2A boys, No. 1.
