WASHINGTON — Outdoor track season kicks off with a bang on Thursday at Case Field. Washington will host its first meet of the year, welcoming a slew of boys' teams from around the area.
The meet will begin a little earlier than normal. Events will begin at 2 p.m., a couple of hours ahead of the usual start time.
Along with the hosting Demons, area squads Columbus, Fairfield, Highland, Keota, Mt. Pleasant, WACO and Winfield-Mount Union will all be in attendance.
Thursday’s meet will be the first of a long line of spring sports events, which continue into next week when the 2024 soccer season kicks off, as well as outdoor girls’ track meets.
