Washington victorious in JV action
The Fairfield JV boys? basketball team lost a close contest, 48-43, to conference rival Washington Friday.
The Trojans shot 42 percent from beyond the arc to keep pace. Matt Carr was 4-for-7 from 3-point land to score a team-high 14 points along with three assists. Joe Hietpas swished another trey and finished with 10 points.Vince Horras also scored 10 points.

The Trojans shot 42 percent from beyond the arc to keep pace. Matt Carr was 4-for-7 from 3-point land to score a team-high 14 points along with three assists. Joe Hietpas swished another trey and finished with 10 points.Vince Horras also scored 10 points.
Defensively, the Trojans stole the ball nine times. Jordan Whitney, Alex Shier, Carr and Horras tallied two steals each. Landon Gamrath had one steal.
The JV boys return to the court tonight at Iowa City Regina.
