Washington walks off Williamsburg
After earning its first conference victory, the Washington softball team kept its momentum going on Friday night.

After earning its first conference victory, the Washington softball team kept its momentum going on Friday night.
The Demons fell behind early during Friday night?s contest, but rallied back for a thrilling walk-off victory over Williamsburg, 5-4.
The victory moves Washington to 6-26 on the year, as they earned their second set of back-to-back victories on the year.
In the contest, Williamsburg scored two runs in the top of the first to take a lead that would hold into the fifth inning.
The Demons loaded the bases in the bottom of the fifth, and Morgan Brinning knocked in two runs in the frame, while Brooke Stout earned an RBI to give Washington a 3-2 lead.
Williamsburg responded with a two-run frame in the top of the seventh, retaking the lead, 4-3 over Washington.
The Demons loaded the bases again in the bottom of the seventh, and Brooke Stout came through with the game-winning single, giving the Demons a second-straight victory.
That win marked the fourth win in seven days for the Demons.
Kolbi Breard and Morgan Brinning accounted for four of the Demons? six hits on the night.
Haylee Wilson and Taylor Dicks combined in the circle for the victory, with Wilson going five innings, allowing six hits and two earned runs, while Dicks went two innings, allowing four hits and two runs.
The Demons will wrap up their regular season on Monday night against Central Lee, who will come to town for a 7:30 varsity contest.
After rounding up the regular season, the Demons will open up regional play on Thursday when they travel to take on rival Fairfield.
The Trojans swept the season series against the Demons, but Washignton lost the previous two games by a combined four runs, including a 4-3 walkoff loss in Fairfield.
