Washington wins SEC golf meet
Demon’s Roman Roth takes individual title

MT. PLEASANT — Southeast Conference boys golf was back at it on Monday with the SEC Meet.
Washington, Mt. Pleasant and Fairfield all finished top three in the tournament, but it was the Demons who reined supreme.
Washington finished with a team low of 296. The Demons were the only team that went sub 300. Mt. Pleasant finished second with a score of 350. Fairfield followed two strokes back with a 352.
Fort Madison (386) and Keokuk (395) rounded out the tournament.
Individually, Washington’s Roman Roth was the conference champion with a low of 67. Roth was the only sub 70 in the tournament.
Also for the Demons, Rajan Roth shot a 74. Drew Conrad ended with a 76. Teague Mayer carded a 79. Luke Beenblossom finished with 81 and Carson Brown 84.
Mt. Pleasant was paced by Nate Dismang with an 84. Reece Coffman finished with a 86. Merrick Lamm golfed an 88. Alek Barton had a 92 and Brody Engle a 94.
As for Fairfield, Sam Weaton led with an 85. Drew Myers and Cason Miller both shot 88s. Archer Kreuter posted a 91. Luke Thornton had 92 and Landon Nodurft a 95.
