The Washington wrestling team won at Fort Madison Thursday, Jan. 5, by a final score of 54-18.
Starting off the action was Tristin Westphal-Edwards (160) who won over Jarrett Settles by pin in 1:14. Collin Murphy (182) lost by a 4-3 decision to Diego Lozano. Karlton Skubal (195) won by fall in 1:25 over Danen Settles.

Starting off the action was Tristin Westphal-Edwards (160) who won over Jarrett Settles by pin in 1:14. Collin Murphy (182) lost by a 4-3 decision to Diego Lozano. Karlton Skubal (195) won by fall in 1:25 over Danen Settles.
Tanner Murphy won by fall in 3:54 over Alex Lauber. Tristan Allender (285) pinned Heath Hoenig in 0:34. Walker Ikerd (106) won by an 18-1 technical fall in 4:00 over Elton Kruse. Garrett Ikerd (113) lost by a 3-1 decision to Ryan Steffensmeier. Brandon Dickel (120) won by a 14-2 major decision over Nathan Steffensmeier.
Kyle Anderson (126) won by fall in 2:52 over Skylar Schau. Alex Latcham (132) won by an 8-1 decision over Dalton Woolever. Andrew Waite (138) lost by fall in 3:06 to Harlan Steffensmeier.
Logan Escher (170) and Trey Van Weelden (152) both won by forfeit and Aaron Steffensmeier from Fort Madison won the 145 weight class due to an injury over Austin Hazelett.
The Demons wrestling team will take to the mats at Highland tomorrow in the Gary Curtin Invitational starting at 9:30 a.m.
