Washington wrestling team wins one of two at Oskaloosa
The Washington Demons wrestling team took part in a dual meet at Oskaloosa Thursday, Jan. 26, where the team lost their dual to Williamsburg 24-31 but won over their hosts from Oskaloosa 45-24.
Battling against Williamsburg first was Dylan Farmer (145), who lost by a 9-1 major decision.

The Washington Demons wrestling team took part in a dual meet at Oskaloosa Thursday, Jan. 26, where the team lost their dual to Williamsburg 24-31 but won over their hosts from Oskaloosa 45-24.
Battling against Williamsburg first was Dylan Farmer (145), who lost by a 9-1 major decision.
Kiowa Keith (152) lost by a 10-3 decision to Michael Gaylon. Tristin Westphal-Edwards (160) won by a 9-0 major decision over Kael Royster.
Logan Escher (170) lost by fall in 3:29 to Tucker Stanerson. Collin Murphy (182) lost by an 8-1 decision to Isaac Maser.
Karlton Skubal (195) won by a 7-3 decision over Josh Holub. Tanner Murphy (220) won by a 9-2 decision over Keaton Zimmerman.
Mitchell Huisenga (285) lost by a 4-1 decision to Logan Knutson. Matt Collett (106) was pinned in 0:53 by Grayson Kesterson.
Walker Ikerd (113) lost by fall in 5:35. Garrett Ikerd (120) won by a 7-3 decision over Garrett Jenson.
Kyle Anderson (126) won by a 15-2 major decision over Dylan Caskey. Alex Latcham (132) won by a 12-0 major decision over Nick Marovets and Andrew Waite (138) won by a 6-2 decision over Jose Maldonado.
Brandon Dickel (120) was the first to see action against Oskaloosa, but would lose by pin in 5:23 to Josh Diehl.
Anderson (126) won by fall in 2:50 over Rashaun Braggs. Latcham (132) won by an 11-0 major decision over Zaiyan Mamum. Waite (138) won by fall in 3:39 over Cody Gunn.
Farmer (145) lost by fall in 1:09 to Drew Sams. Keith won over Emmit Boender by a 13-4 major decision.
Westphal-Edwards wrestled in the 170 weight class against Oskaloosa and won by an 11-3 major decision over Casey Hill.
Murphy (182) lost by a 9-7 decision over Jason Beebe. Skubal (195) won by a 4-1 decision over Kyler Salazar. Tristan Allender (220) lost by fall in 1:32 to Tyson Breuklander. Huisenga (285) lost by a 4-2 decision to Callan Tomlin.
Winning their weight class by forfeit were Collett (106), Garrett Ikerd (113) and Trey Van Weelden (160).
The Washington wrestling team takes to the mats at Fairfield tomorrow, Jan. 28, beginning at 10 a.m.
