Washington wrestling wins pair at home quad
Demons defeat Center Point-Urbana and Central Elkader

WASHINGTON -- Washington wrestling put together a solid performance on Tuesday night, picking up two wins with just one loss in a home quad.
Along with the Demons, Anamosa, Center Point-Urbana and Central Elkader all competed.
Washington began on the losing side of things, suffering a 56-15 loss to Anamosa in the first head-to-head.
However, the Demons bounced back through the final two duals, topping Center Point-Urbana 54-28 and Central Elkader 57-24.
The Demons were led by Aaron Boone, who has yet to lose thus far. Boone picked up three wins by pin at 132 pounds.
Blaine Rees (175) and Rudy Wolfe (285) both picked up a pair of wins by fall.
In one of the more exciting matches of the evening, Nate Edmonds went to overtime in his first match, eventually notching the take down for the 9-6 victory at 120. He was victorious in his next match 12-6.
Mark Chenoweth at 165, Greyson Hartman at 215, along with Jude Carter at 144 each picked up a fall victory as well.
Thus far, the Demons sit at 9-2 in team duals this season.
Washington will look to pick up its first Southeast Conference victory when they visit Fairfield Thursday night.
