Washington’s Conrad wins in Fairfield
Demons finish first, Fairfield third, Mt. Pleasant doesn’t post a score

FAIRFIELD — The Washington, Fairfield and Mt. Pleasant girls golf teams competed against one another at the Fairfield Golf and County Club on Friday.
This time around, it was Washington once again taking the gold. The Demons ended their day with a team low of 187.
Fairfield finished with a final score of 205, good enough for a third. Mt. Pleasant did not post a team score due to only having two players.
Keokuk finished second with 194 and Burlington took fourth with 211. Fort Madison also participated, but didn’t tally a score.
Washington’s Makenna Conrad was highest finisher on the day. Conrad posted an individual low of 40 for her first-place finish.
Teammate Kaylin Long followed close behind tying for second with a score of 43. Alecia Goff shot a 51 on the day. Mallary Johnson finished with a 53. Maci Williams golfed a 54.
Fairfield’s Macy Rayburn and Viola Welsh both finished with final scores of 49. Sara Kretz and Myah Twohill each shot 53 on the day. Maggie Rayburn ended with 54 and Kate Pettit 56.
For Mt. Pleasant, Samantha Wibben was a second-place finisher totaling a low of 43. The Panther’s Kylie Walderbach ended her day with a 59.
