WASHINGTON — Washington saw a lot of success on the football field this past season and in large part that was due to some stellar senior leadership.
One of those senior leaders made his college decision last week.
Offensive lineman Brayden Hartman signed his letter of intent to play college football for the Fighting Leathernecks of Western Illinois.
Down in the trenches this season, Hartman was one of the areas best, stifling opposing defenses again and again.
Hartman helped the Demons amass 1,936 yards on the ground, finding the pay dirt 22 times as well.
On the receiving end of things, Washington totaled 438 yards as well as six touchdowns.
Hartman will join a Western Illinois squad that had a tough go in 2022. The Leathernecks finished 0-11 overall and 0-8 in the Missouri Valley Conference.
Western Illinois plays the likes of Missouri Valley and FCS powerhouses South Dakota State and North Dakota State.
