The Southeast Conference released its all-conference girls soccer list this week, and Washington junior Greta Rothe has been recognized as the top player in the league.
The Demons’ junior star scored 16 goals and dished out four assists in the 2021 season. She was one of three Washington players on the All-SEC squad, being joined by a couple of seniors, Demon leading scorer Trina Griffin (27 goals, 2 assists) and Sarah Hall.
Southeast Conference champion Mt. Pleasant led the conference with four players named to the All-SEC squad. This included leading scorer Andrea Lopreato (26 goals, 2 assists), a sophomore.
Joining Lopreato was fellow sophomore Elly Manning, as well as a couple of seniors in Ryann Davidson and goalkeeper Emma Pieper.
Fairfield had just one player named on the All-SEC list. Senior goalkeeper Trisha Westphal represented the Trojans on the main squad.
