TROY MILLS - The Washington boys placed ninth in the team standings and the girls finished 10th at the 39th Annual North Linn Invitational Saturday in cross-country racing.
Solon won both the 16-team boys meet and 12-team girls race.
Lance Sobaski, ranked 28th in Class 3A, placed 12th in 17 minutes flat and Demon teammate Micah Rees was 32nd in 17:46. Elijah Morris finished in 18:59 to place 62nd. Drew Horak was 64th in 19:03, Peyton Snakenberg 69th in 19:12, Cameron Vongpanya was 80th in 19:38 and William Kennedy 95th at 20:27.
Abby Kleese was 44th for Demon girls in 21:52 and Hannah Rees next in 21:53 for 45th. Taylor Bartholomew took 50th in 22:14, Cloe Telleen 64th in 23:30. In 66th was Josie Tanner at 23:41,
70th Molly Klinzman 24:19, and 72nd Greta Rothe at 25:06.
The Demons run next at the Southeast Conference meet Thursday at the Washington Golf Club.
