WASP teams play each other for title

The Washington Area Soccer Program (WASP) had a successful end-of-season tournament Oct. 27-28 in Centerville.
The two Washington U15 (under 15 years of age) teams advanced to the final match and competed against each other.
Blue defeated Gold in a 3-1 contest.
Blue was coached by Temo Arreola and Rodrigo Malaga while Gold was coached by Protacio Marcelino and Eduardo Canales.
The 641 League includes teams from Washington, Mt. Pleasant, Fairfield, Ottumwa, Centerville, and Oskaloosa.
Other Wasp teams also competed.

Members of the Gold team are Lane Schrock, Will Gilchrist-Brock, Fabian De Jesus, Josiah Hood, Cash Pepper, Adin Muff, Lucky Lindsey, Giselle Marcelino, Bill De La Rosa, Emanuel Raymundo, Cecilia Murphy, Lindsay Diaz and Hugo Banueles.
