Weather shortens Trojans? upset bid at Keokuk
The Fairfield boys? soccer team went to Keokuk Thursday, but only got through 23 minutes of action.

The Trojans led a 1-0 contest that was a rematch of last year?s substate game before lightning cut the night short. Haven Tichy scored the goal for Fairfield.
The JV game ended in a 1-1 tie with Mason Carnahan finding the back of the net.
Fairfield will try again Tuesday with its scheduled game against Fort Madison. The JV game is set to begin at 5:30 p.m. at Trojan Stadium.
Fairfield girls fall 6-3
Keokuk scored three goals in the first ten minutes and it proved to be too big of a hole for the Fairfield girls? soccer team to overcome Thusday night.
The Chiefs opened up a 4-0 lead before the Trojans picked up three goals in the second half and lost 6-3.
Serena Ward scored two goals and Samantha Byrnes tallied the other for Fairfield. Ward was assisted by Katie Anderson and Byrnes on her scores while Taylor Neil picked up the other assist.
The JV game that finished in the rain ended as a 0-0 tie.
Next up for Fairfield is a trip to Burlington-Notre Dame Tuesday.
