Weekend Central College Indoor results

PELLA — Union area track teams are looking pretty good in the early season.

A handful of teams showed it on Friday and Saturday as Central College held its annual Central College Dutch Boys and Girls Indoor High School Meet.

Mt. Pleasant, New London, Van Buren County and Hillcrest Academy competed on the boys’ side. As for the girls, Mt. Pleasant, Fairfield and Hillcrest Academy participated as well.

Between the girls and boys, there were three winners.

Avin Truong continues his hot streak in long jump. The junior lept 6.64 meters for the event title. The other boys’ winner was Lincoln Bainbridge of Van Buren County. Bainbridge took the 3200-meter with a time of 10:26.94.

Mt. Pleasant grabbed another victory as the girls’ 4x200 clocked 1:51.61 for the win.
