Demons drop tournament games
The Washington softball team dropped its fourth-straight game over the weekend, falling in a pair of games at a tournament in Oskaloosa.
The Demons took on PCM and Wayne on the weekend, and fell to PCM 4-2, and Wayne 11-3.
In the game against PCM, freshman Megan Strabala had two of the Demons? five hits, while freshman Megan Mitchell had the lone RBI in the contest.

Demons drop tournament games
The Washington softball team dropped its fourth-straight game over the weekend, falling in a pair of games at a tournament in Oskaloosa.
The Demons took on PCM and Wayne on the weekend, and fell to PCM 4-2, and Wayne 11-3.
In the game against PCM, freshman Megan Strabala had two of the Demons? five hits, while freshman Megan Mitchell had the lone RBI in the contest.
Taylor Dicks went six innings from the circle, allowing seven hits and two earned runs, while striking out two.
Against Wayne, Morgan Brinning and Brooke Stout each had two hits, with Brinning adding two RBIs in the contest.
Haylee Wilson and Mackenzie Knutson each had a hit apiece as the Demons had six hits.
Of the 11 runs given up, six went down as earned for Wayne.
The Demons are now 2-17 on the season, with a conference doubleheader against Fairfield on Monday.
Hawks earn pair of victories
Six was the magic number for Mid-Prairie softball, as they took a pair of conference victories over Wilton, both by the score of 6-4, on Friday.
The Hawks used three hits from Amber Kral in each victory, with the junior picking up a combined six RBIs on the day.
In Game 1, Lexi Duwa and Chelsea Kral each had a pair of hits, while in Game 2, Duwa, Ashley Sojka, Clarice Murphy and Emily Cayton each had two hits.
Chelsea Kral had two RBIs in Game 1, while Duwa had two RBIs in Game 2.
Mid-Prairie, ranked No. 9 in Class 3A, will look to pick up a pair of victories against Tipton on Monday night.
Highland wins two conference games
The Highland softball team added two more games to a seven-game winning streak.
Cheyann Adamson went 3-for-3 during Thursday?s 6-1 victory over Columbus, while Bridget Murphy went 2-for-3 in a 5-0 victory over Winfield-Mt. Union on Friday.
Katie Springer pitched both games, going all 14 innings, allowing zero earned runs, 10 hits, one walk and 17 strikeouts over the pair of games.
Offensively, Highland had 18 hits over the two games, and now sits at 1202 on the season.
Highland will take on Lone Tree on Monday night.
