Weeks notches hole-in-one at Ryder Cup

Pleasant Golf and Country Club in a Ryder-cup style match, which featured pairs of teammates squaring off against each other in a 27-hole match-play format, which included nine best shot, nine best ball and the final nine holes consisting of alternating shot.

It was a Ryder Cup atmosphere in Mt. Pleasant on Saturday.
The Washington Golf and Country Club sent a team of golfers to take on the Mt. Pleasant Golf and Country Club in a Ryder-cup style match, which featured pairs of teammates squaring off against each other in a 27-hole match-play format, which included nine best shot, nine best ball and the final nine holes consisting of alternating shot.
After the first round, Washington led the matches 18-8, but Mt. Pleasant battled back to tie it up at 18 apiece after the best-ball holes.
On the alternating shot, Mt. Pleasant capped off the comeback, edging Washington 28.5 to 25.5.
Washington?s Ed Weeks brought one of the thrills of the day, as he notched a hole-in-one on the day.
This marks the 21st Ryder Cup, with Mt. Pleasant earning their fifth win of the event. Washington will host the event next season, as they look for their 16th victory in the event.
