Weidman earns first team honor
After the season ended, the lone Washington baseball senior was honored earlier this week.
Senior Blake Weidman was named to the All-Southeast Conference first team this week, after leading the Demons in multiple statistical
categories.
Weidman tied for the team lead in RBIs with 17, while scoring team-highs in runs (19), hits (29), doubles (10) and slugging percentage (.488).

After the season ended, the lone Washington baseball senior was honored earlier this week.
Senior Blake Weidman was named to the All-Southeast Conference first team this week, after leading the Demons in multiple statistical
categories.
Weidman tied for the team lead in RBIs with 17, while scoring team-highs in runs (19), hits (29), doubles (10) and slugging percentage (.488).
Weidman also batted .363 while picking up an on-base percentage of .427.
Two Demons were named to the second team of the All-Conference teams, with sophomores Dakota Kron and Ryan Loy each earning recognition.
Kron batted .329 this season, getting on base at a clip of .386, and tied with Weidmand for the team lead of 17 RBIs.
Kron scored 13 runs and finished the season with 25 hits on the year, and only committed two errors in the field this season.
Loy was strong for the Demons this year, getting on base at a clip of .429.
He batted .342 this year and scored 15 runs, while earning 10 RBIs and stealing eight bases.
Earning honorable mention for the Demons were junior Tanner Renoux and sophomore Michael Gier.
Renoux, who was the primary designated hitter this year for the Demons, finished the year with team highs in batting average (.379) and on-base percentage (.461).
Renoux also knocked in 10 RBIs and scored nine times this year.
Gier was adept at getting on base this season, drawing a team-high 16 walks en route to a .385 on-base percentage.
He batted in seven runs, and tied for the team lead with 19 runs scored. Gier also stole 10 bases to lead the team.
