For the third straight season, Allyson Wertz earned a spot on the River Valley All-Conference team.
The Mid-Prairie senior shot a 93 in the 18-hole conference meet held in Muscatine on Wednesday, putting her in third place overall.
As a team the Hawks carded a team score of 438, which placed them in sixth place overall, with Monticello?s 382 claiming the conference title.
?This was a great showing for the kids and a result of all the hard work they?ve been putting into practice over the past couple weeks,? Mid-Prairie girls? golf head coach Tracy McArtor said. ?Allyson had yet another great day and finished with first team All Conference for the third year in a row. Her day was highlighted by an eagle on the par 4, 14th hole with made second shot from 60 yards.?
Lindsey Palmer shot a career best 111 for the Hawks, followed by Paige Slabaugh?s career-low score of 112.
Cassidy Bender carded a 122 for Mid-Prairie while Olivia Nisly had a 123 to round out the scores for Mid-Prairie.
Now the Hawks will look to the postseason when they head to Wapello on Monday morning for the first round of regionals.
?The top two teams and low five individuals and ties continue on to the next round,? McArtor said. ?If the kids can play like they did today, I think they have a great shot at moving on to the next round, which we will host at Kalona on May 26th.?
