In 2021-22, Brittany West was one of the best players in the Continental Athletic Conference. In 2022-23, she’ll be sitting in the Assistant Coach’s chair.
West spent one year on the courts for Steve Williamson’s squad, and she did just about everything in that one year. West averaged 17.8 points per game, a 53.7 percent shooting percentage from the field and a scolding hot 47.9 percent from 3-point land, which was fifth-best in the NAIA.
In West’s final collegiate game, she broke two Iowa Wesleyan school records, scoring 39 points and hitting 11 3-pointers during the first round of the NAIA tournament.
West was one of four players to transfer from William Penn to Iowa Wesleyan to continue playing for coach Williamson. She will now be sitting alongside of him during the Tigers’ games.
Graduate Assistant Cash Wilcke will be the new Assistant Coach for the men and women’s wrestling programs when the 2022-23 season opens up.
Wilcke, a former Big Ten and Midlands champion and four-time letterwinner for the University of Iowa, has spent the two years with the Tiger wrestling program. He was hired on as a coach during the inception of the new program.
Both the Iowa Wesleyan women’s basketball season and wrestling seasons will kick back off in the late fall, early winter of 2022.
