WGCC holds ‘Super Senior’ day

The stableford scoring system was the two man best shot format for “Super Senior Day” on Wednesday at the Washington Golf and Country Club. The system awards points from 0 for a double bogey to 4 for an Eagle and the points are tallied instead of scores.
Five Super Seniors were honored; Don Kline (80) Donnie Robertson (83) Tom Bollman (85) Carl Chalupa (86) and Bud Dameron (89). The clubhouse served cake and ice cream after the round.
In the featured match of the day, birdies on Hole 5 and Hole 9 paved the way for a 3-point victory for Carl Chalupa and Rick people (17) over Bud Dameron and Donnie Robertson.
A par on Hole 9 won the card back for the days’ top team of Gene Zeck and Craig Paul (18 pts.) over Mark Eighmy and Brian Crooks (18 pts.). Five teams finished with 17 points a birdie on #9 was the difference as Carl Chalupa and Rick Peoples finished third.
