Wildcats sweep WACO
Columbus swept visiting WACO in a Southeast Iowa Super Conference North Division volleyball match on Tuesday night, winning by scores of 25-11, 25-13 and 25-17.

Columbus swept visiting WACO in a Southeast Iowa Super Conference North Division volleyball match on Tuesday night, winning by scores of 25-11, 25-13 and 25-17.
Senior Megan Pretz had eight kills and two blocks to lead the Wildcats (6-15, 3-3 SEISC North), and senior Shelly Stewart added four kills. Junior Heidi Duttlinger had three kills, and sophomore Kelsey Pretz had three kills to go with eight assists. Junior Brooklyn Milder added six assists.
Senior Shayne VanAuken was 18-for-19 serving on the night with six aces, and junior Coree Winters added three aces. Megan Pretz went 10-for-10 serving with two aces, and Kelsey Pretz was 16-for-17 with two aces. Freshman Laura Mincks was 9-for-10 from the service line with a pair of aces.
Columbus won a close fresh/soph match by scores of 23-21 and 24-22, but WACO won the junior varsity match by scores of 19-21, 21-18 and 15-9.
