Winfield-Mount Union football bounces right back
Wolves roll HLV one week after New London loss

WINFIELD — It was a happy homecoming for the Winfield-Mount Union faithful, as the WMU football team heaved Hartwick-Victor-Ladora 54-21 on Friday night.
The Wolves dominated from the start, leading 16-7 after one quarter, 38-7 at halftime and 46-7 after three quarters.
Cam Buffington had another monster game, throwing for 239 yards and three touchdowns, and rushing for 118 to lead the Wolves.
Abram Edwards caught three passes on the day and made the most of them, going for 131 yards and two touchdowns. He led the defense with nine tackles.
WMU had one turnover on the day, a fumble recovery by Sullivan Scott.
The Wolves are now 3-1 overall this season and 2-1 in district play. They will get the chance to spoil Lone Tree’s homecoming this week.
