Warriors knocked by top-ranked Nikes

“We are playing pretty well right now and really starting to incorporate what we’ve been learning in practice,” Van Buren County head coach BJ Carter said. “While we haven’t quite been able to take a set from our latest tough opponents, the scores don’t exactly paint the picture of the level of volleyball we’ve escalated to. The team is having fun and earning a lot more of our points by putting our opponents in tough situations.”
It was Van Buren’s third game against a ranked foe in five days and the second night in a row against a Class 1A rated opponent. On Monday, No. 5 Holy Trinity toppled the Warriors 25-17, 25-18, 25-13.
