Winfield-Mount Union wins boys cross-country meet

DONNELLSON — Winfield-Mount Union won the boys team race at the 2021 Central Lee Cross-Country Invitational Tuesday.
Cardinal won the girls team race. There were not enough girls teams for another score.
Gabe Hemsworth won in 18 minutes, 58 seconds to pace WMU and teammate Kohlby Newsom was second.
Van Buren County took first and second in the girls with Payton Poling running a 21:51 time and Faith Neeley 22:27.
