A unique clinic is coming to Mid-Prairie next month for high school coaches and any of their team members who might have an interest in playing at the next level.
A golf clinic where college coaches Nick Rule from William Penn, Darin Pint from Kirkwood and Luke Slaymaker from Mount Mercy University will share program information about their respective teams, instruction and practice drills they use.
This will be an opportunity to ask questions from coaches and players at the next level and learn and incorporate new ideas for practice and drills.
Also, PGA professional Jim Dickerson from Finkbine Golf Course in Iowa City will be on hand to discuss what he sees as most common fundamental mistakes with Junior golfers.
Anyone attending needs to bring a clean pair of shoes to change into (no golf spikes).
The clinic is Saturday, Feb. 4, in the Mid-Prairie Indoor Facility beginning at 8 a.m. with the clinic and practice to follow from 1-3 p.m. The cost is $20 per coach or school. Anyone with questions should contact Tracy McArtor at 319-530-1904 or via email at Tlm111660@gmail.com.
