The Washington seventh-grade boys? basketball team has been busy over the past week, competing in three games since last Tuesday.
The Demons opened up the stretch with a game against Ottumwa, which resulted in a 30-25 loss for the A team.

The Washington seventh-grade boys? basketball team has been busy over the past week, competing in three games since last Tuesday.
The Demons opened up the stretch with a game against Ottumwa, which resulted in a 30-25 loss for the A team.
Trashaun Willis led the team with 10 points, and also picked up four rebounds in the contest, while Wilx Witthoft had nine points and six rebounds.
Noah Suchan had four points and six rebounds.
?We did a good job of getting the ball inside at times and taking good shots,? head coach Mark Berhow said after the game. ?We need to improve our team defense and prevent the ball getting inside too easily.?
The B team lost to Ottumwa 31-19, and was led by Thomas Bias, who recorded nine points, and Johnny Diaz, who finished the game with five points and three rebounds.
The C team fell to Ottumwa 42-24 in the contest, led by Reece Mayer?s 10 points and four rebounds, while Luciano Marcelino had four points and three steals.
The Demons faced off against Aldo Leopold on Thursday, and picked up a 42-34 victory, led by Willis? 14 points, 16 rebounds and three steals.
Kael Adam pitched in eight points and eight rebounds, while Witthoft had seven points and four rebounds.
?We played with more of a purpose on offense for most of the game,? Berhow commented after the game. ?Our team defense took steps in the right direction. We need to learn more about valuing each possession and protecting the basketball.?
The B team won 26-14 over Aldo Leopold, led by Bias? 12 points and four rebounds, while the C team fell 14-12, with Diaz leading the team with four points and seven rebounds.
In a home game against Mt. Pleasant on Monday night, the Demons? A team fell to the Panthers 48-31, to move to 2-3 on the season.
Witthoft had 10 points to lead the Demons, while Suchan had a team-high six rebounds.
Willis had six points and five rebounds.
?We struggled to handle their pressure and turned the ball over too many times,? Berhow said. ?We finished the game with a good surge of offense.?
The B team defeated the Panthers 26-17 in the contest, led by Bias? 12 points, while Spencer Sotello had eight points for the Demons.
The Washington C team defeated Mt. Pleasant 24-18, led by Mayer?s 18 points, while Marcelino had six rebounds in the contest.
