WMS girls? track runs at Mt. Pleasant
The Washington eighth-grade girls? track team earned a successful day in Mt. Pleasant on Tuesday night, taking fifth place in the eight-team competition.
Helping to the placement were three first-place finishes on the day, including the 4x200-meter relay.
The team of Leah Marek, Demeri Bell, Allison Rebling and Cierra Miller combined to claim the meet title in the event, with a time of 2:05.55 for the Demons.

The team of Leah Marek, Demeri Bell, Allison Rebling and Cierra Miller combined to claim the meet title in the event, with a time of 2:05.55 for the Demons.
Hannah Anderson posted a time of 14.71 in the 100-meter dash to claim the meet title, while also claiming the long jump title with a leap of 15 feet ? 6 inches.
Marek also had a high finish individually for the Demons, taking second in the 200-meter dash.
