WMS wraps up regular season
The Washington Middle School wrestlers wrapped up their regular season on Tuesday afternoon at home.
Over the past two tournaments, the Demons went 43-7 in matches, including a 22-4 overall record on Tuesday.
A few of the wrestlers will be competing in the AAU District meet, which will be hosted in Washington on Sunday.

The Washington Middle School wrestlers wrapped up their regular season on Tuesday afternoon at home.
Over the past two tournaments, the Demons went 43-7 in matches, including a 22-4 overall record on Tuesday.
A few of the wrestlers will be competing in the AAU District meet, which will be hosted in Washington on Sunday.
The top four wrestlers from each weight class will advance to the AAU State meet at Wells Fargo Arena in Des Moines.
On Tuesday, the Demons had 10 wrestlers go 2-0 on the day.
Garrett Ikerd, Walker Ikerd, Tristan Westphal-Edwards, David Hora, Ben Bohr, Matt Collett, Logan Escher, Justin Simmering, Brennan Murphy and Tristan Allender were the ones to go 2-0 on Tuesday, while Brody Wagner and Dylan Farmer each picked up a win for the day.
For the season, the team was led by Westphal-Edwards who went 15-0 with 14 pins on the season.
Walker Ikerd and Garrett Ikerd each picked up a team-high 17 wins, both posting 17-1 records on the season, while Ben Bohr went 15-1.
David Hora picked up 15 wins on the year, going 15-3, while Collett, Escher and Simmering all finished the season with 14 wins.
Murphy (13 wins) and Sanders (10 wins) rounded out the Demons who finished in double-digit victories.
?We coaches are really proud of these kids for finishing strong,? Washington Middle School wrestling coaches Shawn Ellingson and Dave McLaughlin said in a joint statement. ?Wrestling is a long, tough season, and we appreciate all their hard work. These eighth-graders are ready to get some extra work in during the summer and then help our High School team so they can have continued success.?
