WMS wrestlers wrap up season with wins
The Washington Middle School wrestling team picked up three big meets to wrap up the season.
The Demons traveled to Fort Madison and posted a 16-8 record, then traveled to Mt. Pleasant where they went 19-11 and then hosted the final meet of the season on Feb. 2, going 14-11.
In the meet at Fort Madison, seven Demons posted records of 2-0 on the day.

The Washington Middle School wrestling team picked up three big meets to wrap up the season.
The Demons traveled to Fort Madison and posted a 16-8 record, then traveled to Mt. Pleasant where they went 19-11 and then hosted the final meet of the season on Feb. 2, going 14-11.
In the meet at Fort Madison, seven Demons posted records of 2-0 on the day.
Joseph Schrock, Matt Collett, Dillan Sanders, Ayden Frazer, Nathan Beenblossom, Joseph Labelle and Bryan Martin each went 2-0 in Fort Madison, while Justin Simmering and Charlie Henriksen also earned wins.
In the Jan. 29 meet at Mt. Pleasant, seven Demons went undefeated on the day, led by Beenblossom?s 3-0 record.
Schrock, Collett, Sanders, Frazer and Brody Wagner each posted 2-0 records on the day.
Labelle, Simmering, and Henriksen also earned wins at Mt. Pleasant
In the final meet of the season at home, four Demons posted undefeated records.
Schrock went 3-0 on the day, while Collett, Beenblossom and Labelle each went 2-0 for the Demons.
Frazer, Martin, Wagner, Henriksen and Murphy all earned wins for the Demons.
A few Demons will continue their season at the AAU state meet near the end of Feburary, with Simmering, Sanders, Beenblossom, Brandon Dickel, Collett and Frazer all qualifying for the tournament.
