WMU stays at No. 10

There was very little movement from the seventh Iowa Girls High School Athletic Union basketball rankings to the eighth, released Thursday.

At least in the five classes Top Tens, there was not much change like the 11-15 spots.

In Class 1A, Winfield-Mt. Union stayed in the same spot as the top 11 were the same, except for St. Ansgar moved from No. 3 to No. 4 and Kingsley-Pierson moved up.

The Wolves anchored the 10 slot and fellow Southeast Iowa Super Conference team Notre Dame was No. 11. Another SEISC team was West Burlington, which moved back from No. 7 to No. 8 after losing to Notre Dame.

West Liberty climbed two spots in 3A to seventh while fellow River Valley conference member Cascade stayed at No. 15 in 2A and West Branch stayed in third while Bellevue climbed to sixth.

South Iowa Cedar League members Montezuma stayed in eighth in 1A and North Mahaska dropped two spots from 12th.
